Beatrice, 11x14 Acrylic Painting, 16X20 matted, Abstract Faces, Abstract Woman
Beatrice is one in a series of 3 called “Abstract Ladies with Stories”. This 11x14, original painting, on 140# watercolor paper, comes packaged for protection in a 16x20, white, single mat, with backing and sleeve. My paints and embellishments are of the highest archival quality to ensure the longevity of this work of art for years to come.
The palette includes a selection of bright greens, light blues, turquoise, pinks, magenta, and a dark olive green background with a whimsical touch of random embellishments and stamped verse. Each creation that I present to the world is a labor of love with a unique story that evolved with many studio hours and underlayers of paint. Building it, shaping it, and embellishing it with a variety of mediums.
It would truly be an honor to have this original creation become a part of your life.
Photos are presented to provide a sense of color, details, and scale. Some images may not perfectly represent the painting due to lighting and shadows. The information is for general informational purposes only.
The ladies in this series each evolved with their own story to tell. Below Beatrice shares her innermost thought's.
“Beatrice tends her garden with meticulous care. She hoes the rows and weeds the beds. Sun-filled days spent quietly contemplative at a life well lived. She remembers a saying from her Nona, ‘Only God can make a tree, but I'm in charge of seeds and weeds!’, so with that pronouncement, Beatrice declared herself in charge of this little treeless patch. The children are grown, and her husband has passed. Each day she begins afresh with a hopeful heart. Memories perform like actors on her mind’s stage as she glissades and pirouettes among the tall rows of Zinnia and Sunflowers. Conversations from years past entertain the bounty at her feet. Her thoughts become the seeds she plants deep into the rich soil. Her sorrows and pains surface at each thrust of the hoe into the weeds, words left unsaid land upon the Dahlias. Beatrice leaves little jewels hidden in her garden patch, unseen from the outside world and growing into each tender plant.”
