After a family trip to the Tuscan region of Italy, I was already painting in my mind's eye as I took photo after photo of the beauty around me. And now that I am back home and in the studio with the 1000 photos I took and my memories, I am drawn to a quote by Anaïs Nin: “I can now write to taste this moment twice, once in the moment and again in retrospection. Except, my edit would be "I can now paint to taste this moment twice, once in the moment and again in retrospection.”

I was overcome by the Viste Verdi (Green Views), the olive trees, the grape vines, the Italian Cypress, and Umbrella Pines. And then the pops of reds from the fields on fire with poppies. This series reflects the variety of greens and the magical touch of red...natures palette was on display.
The palette in this series includes a selection of greens, reds, and blues mixed with a whimsical touch of random embellishments.

This 7.5 x 5.5, original painting, on 140# watercolor paper, is free floating with deckled edges and comes packaged for protection in an 11x14, white, single mat, with backing and sleeve. My paints and embellishments are of the highest archival quality to ensure the longevity of this work of art for years to come.

Each creation that I present to the world is a labor of love with a unique story that evolved with many studio hours and underlayers of paint. Building it, shaping it, and embellishing it with a variety of mediums.
