"Inis Mór ”, a one of a kind painting depicting a foggy, misty scene from a personal hike several years back on the island sea cliffs of the Aran islands, off the coast of County Galway. A mixture of sun peaking from cloud breaks, and misty windswept rain approaching the cliff line. Inis Mor is a place of rugged beauty, stark simplicity, and often a study in contrasts.
Thoughts of my Grandmother, whose roots trace back to Ireland, overtook my mind and became the inspiration for this large abstract series. “There were days, with Heaven so low, I was sure I could reach up and poke a hole in it and hold her hand again.”
The palette includes a selection of muted greys and dark tones with greens, golden tones, a touch of light blues, with a whimsical touch of random embellishments using pastels to highlight.

The technique used in this large landscape involves drips, layers, and marks using a muted palette of acrylics and a layering of purposeful pastel marks to highlight this meadow and cliffs from the Irish Coastline. My paints and embellishments are of the highest archival quality to ensure the longevity of this work of art for years to come. The techniques used in this series incorporate a method of under layering and dripping of the palette to provide a sense of veiled wonderment.
Each creation that I present to the world is a labor of love with a unique story that evolved with many studio hours and underlayers of paint. Building it, shaping it, and embellishing it with a variety of mediums.
